Harley
Levi Gray Sr, age 75 of Harrison passed away peacefully at his home on Monday,
June 23, 2025. Harley was born May 19, 1950, in Auburn, Indiana the sin
of Pauline Ruth (Groh) Gray and Robert Overton Gray Sr. Harley enlisted
in the United States Marine Corps and honorably served his country during the
Vietnam War and remained in the Marine Corps until his retirement twenty years
later.
Harely
had resided in Harrison since 1998, moving from New Jersey. He was a life
member of Harrison V.F.W Post 1075 for several years. Harley volunteered
many hours at the post with bingo and various events. He enjoyed playing
bingo, reading western novels, watching western movies and television series
and bowling.
Surviving
Mr. Gray are his two children; Dorthy Burton and Jonathan Gray, four
grandchildren; Darius, Kristin, Dominque and Alicia, eight great-grandchildren,
five siblings; Mike Brown and wife Pam, Davis Seay, Herbert Seay, Ray Vineyard
and wife Evalyn, and Linda Vineyard, sister-in-law, Candy Vineyard, plus many
nieces, nephews, extended family, adopted daughter Khristy Gregory and husband
Deric, close friend, Barbara Stoutenburg and his entire V.F.W. family.
Harley was preceded in death by his father, mother and stepfather, Pauline Ruth
Vineyard and Albert Phillip Vineyard Sr., one son, Harley Levi Gray Jr., one
granddaughter, Destiny, and three siblings: Robert Gray Jr., Albert Phillip Jr.
and Wanda Bartholomew.
Celebration
